Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust in the Derbyshire region is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the children's team. The post focuses initially on reducing waiting times via initial assessments, then provides a clinical service across schools, nurseries, clinics and client homes.

You must be HCPC registered with a recognised SLT degree and have at least two years' post‑qualification experience, with mobility across Chesterfield and North

Qualifications

• HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification SLT experience.
• Ability to travel across Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based SLT practice with leadership within the service.
• Carry out initial assessments to reduce waiting times for children and families.
• Provide clinical SLT services in education settings, clinics and homes.
• Work collaboratively with parents, education staff and multi-agency professionals.
