Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Senior Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Radiopharmacy team in Southampton. The role focuses on preparation and quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, with opportunities to supervise colleagues and develop specialist knowledge.

You will work to established procedures, perform in-process checks, support service development, and collaborate across the pharmacy and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Preparing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
• Supervising and supporting less experienced staff involved in radiopharmaceutical preparation.
• Performing in-process checks on the work undertaken by other team members.
• Undertaking quality control testing of finished radiopharmaceutical products.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance throughout all aspects of your work.
• Supporting the Senior Radiopharmacy team with the development and improvement of services.
• Contributing to the development of the service in line with NHS & commercial requirements including organisational objectives.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Radiopharmacy and healthcare teams.
• Ensuring accurate completion of documentation and records in accordance with relevant procedures and regulatory requirements.
