Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Research Assistant / Advanced Research Assistant to join the TIM department at The Innovation Centre, Headington, Oxford. The role supports cutting-edge research programmes, with opportunities to develop in a collaborative lab environment.

The role covers cell culture, sample prep, molecular workflows and data analysis, with progression to Advanced Research Assistant based on competence and performance. Training and mentoring are available.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in a Biological Science discipline or relevant experience.
• Experience with routine molecular biology techniques and cell-based workflows.
• Familiarity with SOPs, risk assessments and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture activities and sample preparation/storage.
• Support RT-PCR/qPCR workflows and plasmid DNA preparation.
• Undertake imaging, data generation/analysis and record data in LIMS/ELN.
• Contribute to procedure writing and documentation.
• Assist with cross-training and safety/compliance tasks.
