Job Introduction

It is a really exciting time as we have retained the contract to deliver a fully integrated community drug and alcohol treatment service and are now recruiting for the position of Advanced Recovery Practitioner: Trainer. We are looking for someone to lead support, training, and induction of new staff, coordinate internal CPD, and facilitate external training opportunities for our local partners throughout the county. The role requires an energetic, dynamic, and enthusiastic team player with leadership qualities to support new staff and represent the organization externally.

We offer a starting salary of xxxx, increasing annually in line with our pay bands, up to xxxx per year. (Depending on experience, a higher starting salary may be offered).

The role is countywide with base options in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, or Lowestoft. We provide opportunities for career progression through structured learning pathways and support long-term career development, including management and leadership roles.

Role Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Participate in internal and external meetings
  • Serve as a point of contact for training and development
  • Support induction of new colleagues
  • Facilitate induction sessions and mandatory training
  • Provide coaching, support, and monitoring to team members
  • Support competency training review and sign-off
  • Identify local training needs in conjunction with Learning and Organisation Development
  • Maintain up-to-date learning records on Explore
  • Assist in facilitating drug and alcohol-related training for external partners
