Job Introduction

It is an exciting time as we have retained the contract to deliver a fully integrated community drug and alcohol treatment service. We are recruiting for the position of Advanced Recovery Practitioner: Trainer. The role involves leading support, training, and induction of new staff, coordinating internal CPD and external training opportunities for our local partners across the county. We seek an energetic, dynamic, and enthusiastic team player with leadership qualities to support new staff and represent the organization externally.

We offer a starting salary of xxxx, increasing annually in line with pay bands, potentially above the initial salary depending on experience.

Our service is countywide, based in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, or Lowestoft, with opportunities for career progression and structured learning pathways to achieve your long-term goals.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Participate in internal and external meetings
  • Serve as a contact for training and development
  • Support induction of new colleagues
  • Facilitate induction sessions and mandatory training
  • Provide coaching, support, and monitoring
  • Support competency training reviews and sign-offs
  • Identify training needs locally with Learning and Organisation Development
  • Maintain up-to-date learning records on Explore
  • Facilitate drug and alcohol training for external partners

The Ideal Candidate

  • Training qualification
  • Knowledge of IT/digital systems
  • Understanding of the Health & Social Care sector
  • Experience in designing and delivering effective training
  • Skills in coaching and mentoring
