Advanced Qualified Social Worker

Children Looked After

Location: Merseyside

Pay Rate: £44 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Children Looked After Team. As part of the Children Looked After Team for a local authority in the North West, you will be working in a busy and supportive team that assesses and works with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care. Your role involves supporting the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services, making assessments, and decisions about appropriate interventions. Using your social work experience and communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet needs.

You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes of your interventions, striving to provide the best outcomes for children. Your passion for supporting children and families will be key to helping them thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Perfect candidate will be:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Experience within Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection
• Supporting child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings
• Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
• Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review
• Effective direct work with children and families
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Continuous improvement mindset to provide the best outcomes
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Committed to high-quality service delivery
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
• At least 2 years qualified experience
