Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join the Minor Injuries Unit team. You will deliver autonomous assessments and management for minor injuries and MSK conditions, interpreting imaging as needed and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, evidence‑based care.

You will contribute to teaching, supervision and ongoing service development, with a commitment to continuous professional development within unscheduled care settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
• Masters level study or practice at Masters level.
• Post graduate expertise within speciality demonstrating breadth of knowledge to lead safety and efficiency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) team within NHS Lanarkshire. We are seeking an experienced clinician with a strong musculoskeletal background who is keen to develop or further enhance their advanced practice skills within an established and innovative service. Working autonomously within the MIU, you will assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a wide range of minor injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, providing high-quality patient-centred care and contributing to service development. The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in supporting patient flow, reducing unnecessary admissions, and delivering timely evidence-based care within unscheduled care services.

In This Key Role, You Will

• Undertake advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with minor injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.

What You'll Bring

• Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration


• Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level


• Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.


• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.

A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
