Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner for the Learning Disability & Autism Team in Oldbury. Hybrid working and a 37-hour week. You will oversee day-to-day operations and provide professional supervision within a supportive leadership structure.

The role requires a Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and an enhanced DBS. You’ll lead on Care Act compliance, partnership work, and budget oversight to deliver high-quality adult social

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Social Work Qualification and registration.
• Enhanced DBS with Adults Barring Check.
• Experience in Learning Disability & Autism team.
• Experience in partnership working.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional supervision to team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, standards, quality and performance.
• Deputise for the Team Manager when required.
• Manage and monitor a devolved budget within resources.
• Promote partnership working and integration with NHS and partners.
• Ensure compliance with Care Act 2014 and related legislation.
