Job summary

NHS Highland is offering a Band 6 Radiographer position in Oban, delivering high-quality general radiography across different settings. You’ll take on advanced practice, support clinical decision-making, and work autonomously within a small team on the picturesque west coast of Scotland.

The role includes mentorship of Band 5 colleagues, participation in out-of-hours duties, and opportunities to develop extended skills with a focus on patient-centred care in a rural healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographer required.
• Strong clinical experience in general radiography.
• Able to work independently with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality general radiography across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.
• Apply advanced practice skills appropriate to Band 6 level to support clinical decisions.
• Collaborate within a small multidisciplinary team for patient-centred service delivery.
• Support training and mentorship of Band 5 colleagues and students.
• Participate in out-of-hours and weekend rota with enhanced rates.
