Job summary

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group, invites an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist - Outpatients to join the Physiotherapy department on a 32.5-hour-per-week, part-time basis. This role covers flexible shifts within outpatients and supports advanced clinical practice and service improvement.

Applicants should be HCPC-registered with extensive post-registration experience in advanced musculoskeletal care and postgraduate training.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with postgraduate qualification in advanced practice
• Experience delivering advanced musculoskeletal or specialist physiotherapy care
• Experience in private healthcare or first contact pathways

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for complex patients.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment plans with advanced techniques, and interpret imaging when needed.
• Work autonomously as a first contact practitioner, referring to other clinicians when appropriate.
• Act as clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy team.
• Contribute to strategic development and redesign of advanced physiotherapy services.
• Lead service audits, governance activities and outcome monitoring to drive quality.

We have an opportunity for a Advanced Practice Physiotherapist - Outpatients to join their team of staff in thePhysiotherapy department.

This is a part-time role for 32.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with complex presentations, including advanced clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques and, where appropriate, requesting and interpreting diagnostic imaging.
• Work autonomously, often as a first contact practitioner, referring to other healthcare professionals where necessary.
• Act as a clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy team, supporting best practice and professional standards.
• Contribute to the strategic development and delivery of advanced physiotherapy services, including pathway redesign and integration.
• Lead and participate in service audits, clinical governance, and outcome monitoring to drive quality improvement.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Significant post-registration experience, including advanced musculoskeletal or specialist physiotherapy practice.
• Postgraduate training relevant to advanced practice (e.g. MSc, PGCert, or equivalent).
• Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Independent Prescriber or training towards prescribing.
• Experience in requesting and interpreting diagnostic imaging.
• Involvement in audit, service improvement, or research.
• Experience in private healthcare or first contact physiotherapy roles.
