Job summary

Livingston Building Services is seeking an experienced Advanced Plumber to support planned, reactive and compliance-led plumbing works across Livingston Building Services sites, including healthcare environments.

You will work safely, communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives, and follow current regulations. A strong team player with initiative is essential to succeed in fast-paced, client-facing roles.

Qualifications

• Advanced or time-served plumbing qualification (SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience delivering plumbing works in occupied commercial or healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across Livingston Building Services sites.
• Install, repair, maintain and test hot and cold water systems, sanitary ware, pipework and valves.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently with minimal disruption.
• Follow health and safety procedures and hospital site protocols.
• Complete accurate records and compliance documentation.

We require an Advanced Plumber to join our well-established team, supporting planned, reactive and compliance-led plumbing works in Fit Out Projects across Livingston Building Services sites.

You will be expected to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team. With a proactive outlook and ability to work safely at all times, successful candidates will also possess effective communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally with colleagues and client representatives, providing a professional service that meets our clients’ requirements. It is also vital that any applicants are conversant with current regulations and standards and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

As an Advanced Plumber , you must be a strong team player with a positive and flexible attitude. You will be expected to work safely and professionally in both commercial and healthcare settings, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations, site procedures and client requirements.

Key Tasks

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across Livingston Building Services sites
• Install, repair, maintain and test hot and cold water systems, sanitary ware, pipework, valves and associated plant
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while minimising disruption to clients, patients, staff and building users
• Work in line with health and safety procedures, infection prevention requirements and hospital site protocols
• Complete accurate records, job reports and compliance documentation as required

Job Requirements

• Advanced or time-served plumbing qualification, such as SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Experience working in occupied commercial buildings, hospitals or other sensitive environments
• Ability to follow safe systems of work, permit requirements and site-specific procedures
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Industry recognised plumbing trade qualification or time-served experience
• Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality plumbing works in fast-paced, client-facing environments
• Willingness to work across Livingston Building Services sites and outsourced NHS hospital contracts as required
