Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, extending to a wider population of 2.2 million with regional and national services.

The position involves a shift pattern from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

This is a permanent, full-time position for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, based in the East Renfrewshire CAMHS team. Trainees will undertake a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice over 2-3 years, demonstrating all required competencies before qualifying as a Band 7 ANP. The ANP manages comprehensive clinical care, utilizing expert knowledge and supporting multi-professional teams, ensuring high standards of care in accordance with NMC and health and safety legislation.

The ANP acts autonomously in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, including prescribing, with authority to refer, admit, and discharge within appropriate clinical areas. CAMHS provides community-based Tier 3 mental health assessment and intervention, emphasizing equality, dignity, and respect, considering spiritual and cultural diversity.

Applicants must be first-level Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN / RNLD) with current NMC registration, relevant post-registration training, and experience as detailed in the attached Job Description. For Band 7 ANP, relevant qualifications are required.
