Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner for flexible regional primary care sessions across Sowerby Bridge. You will deliver autonomous ANP-led clinics, manage acute and minor illnesses, and ensure safe workflows in GP and community settings.

Join a role with fully flexible sessional work—weekday, evening or weekend bookings, ad-hoc or regular scheduling—across established primary care clinics in the region.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) is mandatory.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence.
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions.

You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within well-supported GP and community services. Each clinic provides clear pathways, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
