Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Hand Therapy team within the Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (iMSK). The role involves assessing and managing hand and wrist injuries, collaborating with orthopaedics and ACPs, and leading aspects of service delivery.

Applicants should have advanced knowledge of hand anatomy and splint fabrication, and demonstrate leadership and a patient-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy leading to HCPC registration.

Responsabilités

• Communicate effectively with patients to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes.
• Manage potentially stressful or emotional situations empathetically.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and devise individualised hand therapy/physiotherapy plans.
• Supervise junior staff and participate in appraisal processes.
• Maintain health, safety and security and work with clinical support when needed.
