Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) is seeking an experienced Clinical Endoscopist to lead advanced endoscopy services. The post involves independent practice in OGD, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy, with a focus on high standards of care and patient safety.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, contribute to developing the JAG training centre, and participate in a rota that includes 7-day working as the department expands. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Fully trained, independent and JAG accredited Clinical Endoscopist.
• Evidence of a JAG portfolio and certificate.
• Masters level education in the relevant field, or commitment to completing a Masters within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic OGDs, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy (sedated or non-sedated).
• Manage own caseload and run nurse-led clinics with GI symptoms support.
• Develop and reflect standards per BSG, JAG and GRS guidance.
