Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is recruiting a Clinical Endoscopist to strengthen its multidisciplinary endoscopy team. The role spans upper GI/OGD, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy with expert practice and patient-focused care.

The post requires a fully trained, independent and JAG-accredited endoscopist; portfolio evidence and a Masters in the field are expected, with opportunities for development within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with NMC or HCPC registration.
• Masters level education in advanced practice and/or endoscopy.
• Independent prescriber target within 18 months of taking post.
• JAG Train-the-Trainer certification completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as an expert Advanced Practitioner in diagnostic OGD, Colonoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy.
• Manage own caseload through nurse-led clinics with GI symptoms, with consultant support.
• Provide advanced clinical judgement and planning for patient management.
• Adhere to standards set by BSG, JAG and GRS in endoscopy.
