Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to provide primary life support and advanced care during transport. You will assess patients, monitor vitals, manage airways, and administer medications in coordination with physicians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, daily cleaning with weekly disinfection, and thorough documentation. A high school diploma or GED and BLS certification are required, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a high reliability

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• EMT level responsibilities and scope of practice described below.

Responsibilities

• 60% – Performs primary EMT responsibilities: response, patient assessment, vital signs, monitoring, diagnostics, moving and lifting, medication administration.
• 20% – Maintains ambulances and equipment in proper working order.
• 10% – Complete report writing and documentation.
