Job summary

SuperCare Residential is seeking an Advanced Behaviour Complex Coach (Residential Support Worker) to support young people aged 12-16 with highly complex emotional and behavioural needs in a specialist children's home.

The role focuses on building therapeutic relationships, managing high‑risk situations, following care plans, and leading by example on shift. A Level 3 Diploma is preferred, with SuperCare funding if needed.

The Role

You’ll become a consistent and trusted adult supporting young people with highly complex emotional, behavioural and additional needs.

The home supports young people aged 12-16 with needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex attachment difficulties, developmental trauma, emotional dysregulation, self‑harmful behaviours, suicidal ideation and extreme challenging behaviours.

The young people are verbal and relatively independent but can require a high level of emotional and behavioural support, particularly during periods of significant distress or dysregulation.

This is a high‑intensity role where your ability to remain calm, make sound decisions and maintain professional boundaries can have a genuine impact on a young person’s life.

As an Advanced Behaviour Complex Coach, you’ll also be expected to lead through practice and model high standards on shift.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Completing accurate records, handovers and incident reports
• Working closely with House Leaders, managers and wider professionals

Shift Patterns

Day Shifts

7:30am - 10:30pm

1 day on, 2 days off

Waking Nights

10:00pm - 8:00am

2 nights on, 2 nights off
