Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive specialist assessments of patients with bowel dysfunction.

• Lead nurse- or therapist-led clinics and provide ongoing patient treatment and follow-up.
• Act as an expert resource for patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate seamless patient pathways.
• Contribute to service development, audit, governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide education and training to colleagues and students.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of new treatments and innovations within bowel dysfunction services.
