Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Tamworth

About the Role...

We are currently recruiting Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) from various professional backgrounds including nursing, pharmacy, and paramedicine. If you have experience, a Masters level qualification (or equivalent), and are eager to take on an expanded role in Primary Care, we encourage you to apply.

As an ACP within our Urgent Treatment Centres, you will work to enhance the capacity of our clinical teams, supporting and expanding the services we offer to patients. You will independently assess patients’ health needs, using your advanced clinical skills and judgement to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge. This is a hands-on, face-to-face role with a flexible rota, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Your Day to Day

  • Lead and support the clinical teams through shifts
  • Undertake patient consultations, taking detailed histories, conducting physical exams, and using your clinical expertise to diagnose and determine treatment plans
  • Prescribe treatment, refer patients to primary or secondary care as necessary, and manage ongoing care in line with local pathways and protocols
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior clinical staff

Qualifications, Experience & Training

  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Pharmacist
  • Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of completed studies in minor illness
  • Independent prescriber
  • Experience in or willingness to develop skills in minor injury, paediatric minor illness, and paediatric minor injury
  • 5% of weekly hours dedicated to Learning and Development

We’re looking for ACPs to join us at locations across Staffordshire, Yorkshire, and the North East.

Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-hire checks, including, but not limited to Right to Work in the UK as well as a Disclosure and Barring Background (DBS) check.
