Job summary

Connaught Resourcing is supporting a trusted client in the Nottinghamshire area to recruit Advanced Clinical Practitioners for flexible temporary assignments within urgent and primary care settings.

As an ACP, you will deliver high-quality face-to-face assessments, provide senior clinical support, mentor colleagues and contribute to service development across OOH and in-hours teams. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Registered professional with NMC/HCPC standing and current practice.
• Master's level education in advanced clinical practice.
• Prescribing qualification enabling independent prescribing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical assessments in line with policies and standards.
• Provide senior clinical support to colleagues and mentor team members.
• Apply autonomous judgement to triage, assess, advise and refer or signpost patients.
• Maintain accurate records and promote continuity of care.
• Contribute to training, audits and service development initiatives.

We are currently supporting a valued client in the Nottinghamshire area with the recruitment of Advanced Clinical Practitioners for ongoing temporary assignments.

About the Role

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in Supporting OOH service delivering F2F clinical assessments. You'll support and mentor colleagues, contribute to service evolution, and work closely with multi-professional teams covering OOH, telephone triage, clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, safe clinical consultations in line with policies, pathways and professional standards
• Provide senior clinical support and expertise to colleagues
• Apply autonomous clinical judgement to triage, assess, advise and safely refer or signpost patients
• Prescribe independently in accordance with policy and current antimicrobial guidance
• Maintain accurate records and promote continuity of care through efficient documentation
• Contribute to training, education, audit and service development activities
• Support multidisciplinary working and effective communication with partners across urgent care services
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement and governance processes

What We're Looking For:

• Registered Health Care Professional (NMC / HCPC) with excellent standing
• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (RCN credentialing/digital badge)
• Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
• Significant experience working autonomously in advanced practice roles
• Experience with telephone triage and out-of-hours clinical work
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical decision‑making capabilities
• Evidence of teaching, training or workforce development experience
