Job summary

Connaught Resourcing is supporting a client in the Nottinghamshire area with ongoing Advanced Clinical Practitioner opportunities delivering OOH clinical assessments and triage. Flexible temporary shifts and immediate start are available.

This role requires extensive autonomous practice, MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, and Independent Non-Medical Prescribing. You will mentor colleagues and contribute to quality improvement across urgent care services.

Qualifications

• Registered Health Care Professional (NMC / HCPC) with excellent standing.
• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (RCN credentialing/digital badge).
• Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality safe clinical consultations in line with policies and standards.
• Provide senior clinical support and expertise to colleagues.
• Apply autonomous clinical judgement to triage, assess, advise and safely refer or signpost patients.
• Prescribe independently in accordance with policy and antimicrobial guidance.
• Maintain accurate records and promote continuity of care.

About the Role

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in Supporting OOH service delivering F2F clinical assessments. You'll support and mentor colleagues, contribute to service evolution, and work closely with multi-professional teams covering OOH, telephone triage, clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality safe clinical consultations in line with policies, pathways and professional standards
• Provide senior clinical support and expertise to colleagues
• Apply autonomous clinical judgement to triage, assess, advise and safely refer or signpost patients
• Prescribe independently in accordance with policy and current antimicrobial guidance
• Maintain accurate records and promote continuity of care through efficient documentation
• Contribute to training, education, audit and service development activities
• Support multidisciplinary working and effective communication with partners across urgent care services
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement and governance processes

What We're Looking For

• Registered Health Care Professional (NMC / HCPC) with excellent standing
• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (RCN credentialing/digital badge)
• Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
• Significant experience working autonomously in advanced practice roles
• Experience with telephone triage and out-of-hours clinical work
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical decision-making capabilities
• Evidence of teaching, training or workforce development experience
