Job summary

Practice Plus Group Holdings Limited is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Planned Care Team at HMP Oakwood, a category C Prison in Wolverhampton. This role involves providing clinical leadership and managing complex patient care with a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical practice with qualifications in mental health and substance misuse.

Qualifications

• Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance.
• Experience in Substance Misuse prescribing is essential.
• Ideally have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems.
• Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team.
• Act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and standards.
• Support senior clinicians on site as part of the leadership team.
• Ensure patient safety and management of complex cases.

• Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
• Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
• You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
• Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
• As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.
