Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner

A local NHS Trust we are currently working with is seeking a Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join their Urgent Community Response Team in Tamworth.

Team: Urgent Community Response Team

Contract: 3-month initial contract with potential for extension

Working Hours: Service operates 7 days a week, 8:00 – 20:00 (flexible shifts available)

Location: Tamworth

Key responsibilities:

• Use highly developed clinical knowledge to independently assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments and interventions for patients presenting with undifferentiated diagnoses referred by external agencies into the ACAH Service.
• Undertake physical examinations as indicated by the patient’s condition; analyze complex clinical signs and investigation results to consider differential diagnoses and initiate treatment as required.
• Perform clinical procedures appropriate to the patient's history and physical examination, including invasive testing and treatments requiring advanced skills, such as catheterisation, cannulation, and peripheral arterial blood gas sampling within the patient's home setting.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin OR current HCPC registration
• Registered Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
• Physical Health Assessment qualification at level 6 or 7
