Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Cannock Chase Hospital UCC

We are recruiting experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) from diverse professional backgrounds such as nurses, pharmacists, and paramedics. Candidates should hold a Masters level award or equivalent and be eager to take on an expanded role within Primary Care.

About The Role

As an ACP in our Urgent Treatment Centres, you will support clinical care, enhance team capacity, and undertake autonomous consultations to assess health needs, diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients. The role involves face-to-face work on a variable rota covering weekdays, evenings, overnights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Your Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical teams during shifts
  • Conduct patient consultations, including history taking and physical examinations
  • Decide on treatment plans, prescribe medications, or refer to specialist services following protocols
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Pharmacist
  • Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or higher
  • Clinical skills qualification at degree level
  • Experience or willingness to develop skills in minor illness, injury, and paediatric minor illness/injury
  • Independent prescriber status
