Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Salford. You will provide comprehensive assessments alongside GPs, deliver safe clinical decisions, and support urgent care, routine appointments and triage.

Flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions, long-term or short-term roles available, offering autonomy and supportive teams in a primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner Level 7 qualification.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.

Working alongside GPs, Nurses, and wider clinical staff, you will provide comprehensive assessments, deliver safe clinical decisions, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes. This position is ideal for ACPs who enjoy a mix of urgent care, routine appointments, and clinical triage.
