The post holder will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team within Rheumatology at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust to provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to the Rheumatology outpatient service.
- To provide highly specialised advice in all pharmaceutical matters. To work as an independent prescriber managing a defined patient caseload.
- To ensure that medicine use within the Rheumatology speciality is safe, effective and cost effective e.g. ensure appropriate use of Healthcare at Home supply arrangements.
- To monitor and provide comment on drug expenditure as required e.g. in relation to high-cost therapies (biologics) and the introduction of new therapeutic agents
You will have recent hospital experience, have excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills and preferably good mentoring, teaching and assessment skills to enable you to take on this influential role within our Trust.
