Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Endocrinology with a focus on sustainability. You will lead pharmaceutical services for diabetes and endocrinology, utilise non-medical prescribing, and collaborate within a MDT to optimise patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with GPhC and hold the MPharm degree.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice completed (both year 1 and year 2).
• Qualified and registered as a non-medical prescriber (or working towards).
• Evidence of CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
• Excellent endocrinology clinical knowledge and leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmaceutical services for the diabetes and endocrinology department.
• Drive the sustainability agenda with the Chief Pharmacist.
• Develop and maintain a non-medical prescribing role (NMP).
• Lead MDT with consultants, specialist nurses and pharmacy team to deliver high quality service.
• Attend consultant rounds and independently prescribe to optimise medicines.
• Lead and mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
