A leading NHS Trust in England seeks a Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes to join their dedicated team. The successful applicant will manage inpatient and outpatient care, participate in strategic planning, and engage in teaching. Full-time or part-time roles are available, with excellent remuneration and relocation packages offered. GMC Registration is required for this position.
We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.
The successful appointee will be joining a Diabetes and Endocrinology team that serves a population of approximately 500,000, where they have a workload of the following: Outpatient clinics - 2 new and 6-7 follow up patients seen in a 4 hour session, Inpatients – 45 patients on Ward 10A and B supported by 3 consultants at any time & DOT support – 7 day in patient care to diabetes in patients alongside DSNs.
Our client are committed to providing the highest standards of diabetes and endocrine care and advancing increasing specialisation and provision of diabetes and endocrine services across the Trust sites. The department of diabetes and endocrinology now comprises a team of over 70 health care professionals and support staff and in light of the expanded clinical and research activity has been re-established as ENHIDE.
The appointee will be joining a team of a core team of 10 consultants within the department rotating two weekly, delivering general medical and inpatient consultant led diabetes and endocrine care along with a team of 4 Specialty Registrar (higher level),4 CMT posts (core level & GP trainees) & 2 Foundation Doctor Year 1's.
