Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Oncology Pharmacist to join a forward-thinking cancer pharmacy team at Oxford. You will provide high-quality pharmaceutical care for adult cancer patients in wards and clinics, including SACT screening and education.

The role offers opportunities in early and late-phase clinical trials, joint MDT work, and potential to develop research interests towards a PhD, with a commitment to delivering compassionate excellence.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a degree level (4-year MPharm or equivalent) and Pharmacist registration with GPhC.
• Diploma / MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• Membership of British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) or other specialist interest group.
• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
• Accredited tutor for a postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma.
• Accredited non‑medical prescriber.

Responsibilities

• Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy service according to Trust standards.
• Screen and review SACT prescriptions and clinical trial treatments.
• Participate in MDT meetings and ward rounds.
• Non‑medical prescribing in oncology clinics and day unit.
• Tutor rotational pharmacists and clinical diploma students.
