We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is seeking a Support Worker for the Bromsgrove Resource Centre. The role focuses on helping adults with learning disabilities to participate in day opportunities and reach their full potential within a supportive team.
Based at Bromsgrove Resource Centre, the post involves often coordinating activities such as swimming, cooking and music sessions, with training provided for any personal care support as required.
Salary: £23,824 per annum
35 Hours per Week

If so we need you to help us develop quality services for people with learning disabilities in Bromsgrove. We are recruiting a Support worker to help support adults with complex needs and learning disabilities, to further develop their day opportunities and reach their full potential and maintain their skills.
Based at Bromsgrove Resource Centre, you will besupporting people in activities such as Swimming/ Hydrotherapy, Physiotherapy, cooking, music sessions, aromatherapy as well as helping people to gain skills to become moreconfident andindependent.
You will need to be committed to supporting people in making real choices about their everyday lives and help enable people to access opportunities in their local community.
Previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, however having an understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities is essential.
Training will be given to enable you to assist where necessary with personal care for people and to support those who have more complex needs.

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactoryresponse to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
