Job summary

Service Care is recruiting an Adults Social Worker for Trafford Council on a short-term contract. The role focuses on safeguarding and person-centred support for vulnerable adults, with a hybrid working pattern in Trafford, Sale Waterside area.

You will conduct assessments, develop interventions, manage a caseload, and coordinate with health and social care colleagues. A Level 3 Social Worker and at least 3 years post-qualifying experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience as a social worker.
• Qualified at Level 3 Social Worker status.
• Experience in statutory Adult Social Care services.
• Strong communication and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Conducting social work assessments using a strength-based and person-centred approach.
• Developing tailored interventions to support adults with disabilities, long-term conditions, dementia, drug abuse, hoarding, and alcohol issues.
• Managing a caseload efficiently, balancing priorities within a busy team environment.
• Responding promptly and effectively to safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act and local policies.
• Securing appropriate funding where necessary, in line with Trafford’s Reshaping Policy.
• Building strong relationships with other health and social care professionals to ensure coordinated support.
• Participating in duty rotas to respond to urgent crises and support vulnerable adults in need.

Are you an experienced and motivated Adults Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the Trafford community? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Adults Social Worker to join Trafford Council’s Central Neighbourhood Team on a short-term contract basis. This exciting role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, supportive environment focused on improving the lives of vulnerable adults.

Position: Adults Social Worker Trafford

Location: Trafford, Sale Waterside (Hybrid working options available)

Contract Length: 2 weeks

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates (to be discussed upon application)
