Job summary

Trafford Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Community – Central Team based in Sale Waterside. The role focuses on assessments, interventions, safeguarding, and delivering outcomes-focused, strengths-based practice for adults with varied needs.

You will manage a caseload, collaborate with health and social care partners, and contribute to duty rotas while ensuring Care Act compliance and local policy adherence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-qualifying social work experience
• Qualified Social Worker (Level 3)
• Experience in statutory Adult Social Care service
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults
• Outcomes-focused and strengths-based assessments
• Team-based collaborative working

Responsibilities

• Conduct outcomes-focused and strengths-based social work assessments and interventions.
• Manage a caseload and balance time with team demands.
• Build professional relationships with health and social care services for coordinated responses.
• Share workload and utilise team strengths, knowledge and resources.
• Respond to urgent demands via duty rota and oversee safeguarding enquiries under Care Act.
