Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited in Devon seeks a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult’s Social Work Community Team. You will assess needs, develop care plans with service users and families, and support independence and rights for vulnerable adults.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, maintain records, and engage in professional development within a supportive environment and competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in adult social care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Demonstrated experience in assessment, care planning and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals’ needs and circumstances.
• Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
• Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated services.
• Maintaining accurate case records in line with local policies and statutory requirements.
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
