Location: Newham (Hybrid)

Rate: £32.12 Per Hour

About the Role:

The London Borough of Newham Council is seeking a locum Social Worker to join their Assessment and Care Team. The role involves performing assessments, care planning, and case reviews for sheltered accommodation schemes. If you are passionate about community service and hold the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Care Act assessments of needs, especially for sheltered accommodation voids
• Carry out carer’s assessments and reviews
• Complete scheduled reviews and safeguarding enquiries
• Present cases at panels, including joint funded panels
• Work with the legal team to prepare statements and attend court hearings

Qualifications & Experience:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving license
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent
