Job summary

Job description

Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £25 per hour umbrella – Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal to join an excellent Public Sector Organisation in the Midlands. This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months, with a likely extension, on a full-time basis.

This role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement, with some office presence may be required occasionally.

Please note, candidates will only be considered if they have recent experience within Adult Social Care Law in either a Local Government or Private Practice setting.

Duties may include:

  1. Providing legal, clerical, and administrative support to the Social Care team of Solicitors and Fee Earners
  2. Undertaking a variety of Adult protection related activities under the Solicitors' guidance
  3. Managing cases concerning Court of Protection and deprivation of liberty matters
  4. Day-to-day liaison with Social Care teams, courts, external partners, private practitioners, and other bodies
  5. Conducting legal research using primary and secondary sources, and presenting findings and conclusions
  6. Collating evidence, preparing court applications, and managing court case documentation
  7. Performing administrative tasks such as preparing bundles, updating, and delivering them to court and parties
  8. Maintaining direct contact with the legal fraternity, including Judges, Barristers, and Solicitors
  9. Attending remote hearings with Counsel as required
