Job summary

Chelmsford College is seeking an enthusiastic educator to deliver and assess a range of Adult Skills programmes. You will support learners to achieve qualifications, provide feedback and keep accurate records. Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification, a Level 3 qualification, and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4. Experience in adult education is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching adult learners and delivering inclusive teaching across programmes.
  • Ability to assess learner work and maintain accurate records.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner progress.
  • Wamiliarising with Adult Skills Fund provision or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching across Adult Skills programmes.
  • Deliver and assess regulated and non-regulated learning.
  • Support learners to achieve qualifications and learning aims.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain learner records.
  • Adapt teaching to different learner needs and starting points.
  • Develop learners' confidence, resilience, and employability skills.
  • Monitor attendance and progress; provide additional support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
  • Contribute to new programmes and resources as the Skills Hub grows.
  • Support Employment and Progression activities to prepare learners for employment.
