Renfrewshire HSCP seeks an Adult Services Manager to support leadership in delivering high-quality services for adults and older people. An opportunity has arisen within Renfrewshire HSCP for an Adult Services Manager to support the HSCP Chief Officer and Operational Heads of Service.

The successful postholder will support the HSCP Chief Officer and Operational Heads of Service to ensure that Social Work and Social Care practice complies with appropriate legislative and regulatory standards. The postholder will provide professional leadership and supervision to managers responsible for Social Work and Social Care functions, as well as being involved in strategic planning, the commissioning cycle, and change management processes.
This position is suitable for someone with proven experience in delivering safe, effective, high-quality services while managing increasing service demands in a rapidly changing environment. Applicants should have experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, budget management, and working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to optimize resources for better outcomes. Experience at a senior level in leading and managing staff and resources within Social Work and Social Care Services is essential. Additionally, demonstrable experience in strategic planning, challenging existing practices, and leading service improvements in partnership with other agencies is required.
It is essential that candidates are educated to degree level and hold an appropriate professional qualification in Social Work, such as CQSW, Diploma in Social Work, or equivalent. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for effective decision-making and managing competing demands. Effective networking, communication, and influencing skills are also important. The ability to think innovatively and challenge complex situations is highly valued.
Registration with SSSC is mandatory.
