Job summary

Leicester College is seeking an enthusiastic Adult Mentoring and Support Officer to provide academic, pastoral, mentoring, wellbeing, financial and learning support to unemployed adult learners on intensive programmes.

You will design and deliver engaging workshops, support learners on a one-to-one and group basis, and help them overcome barriers that may have prevented progression into employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and maths qualification.
• Level 3 Qualification.
• A good level of general IT skills.
• Experience of providing a wide range of support to adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, pastoral, mentoring, wellbeing, financial and learning support to unemployed adult learners on one-to-one and group settings.
• Design and deliver engaging workshops tailored to individual learner needs.
• Motivate and empower learners to develop confidence, raise aspirations and achieve positive outcomes.
• Share commitment to transforming lives through learning and help every learner realise their full potential.
