Job summary

Capel Manor College is seeking an Employability Coach to support adults across Skills Bootcamps and related programmes. You will provide one-to-one coaching, deliver employability workshops and help learners build confidence, skills and behaviours to secure sustainable careers.

You'll work with employers, curriculum teams and external partners to prepare learners for interviews, coordinate recruitment activity and ensure opportunities generated through the college's network are maximised.

Qualifications

• Experience in employability, careers guidance, coaching, recruitment, welfare-to-work, education or skills provision.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners, employers and partners.
• Empathetic, organised and committed to helping people realise their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one employability coaching tailored to individual learner needs.
• Facilitate engaging workshops covering CV writing, interview preparation, applications, digital job searching and workplace skills.
• Support learners to identify career goals and develop realistic progression plans.
• Help participants overcome barriers to employment through coaching, mentoring and signposting to specialist support.
• Prepare learners for interviews, assessment centres and employer recruitment events.
• Work closely with employers and the Employer Engagement Team to match learners to suitable vacancies and opportunities.
• Support participants on Skills Bootcamps to achieve successful employment outcomes.
• Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to programme reporting.
• Attend employer events, recruitment fairs and networking opportunities across London.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and external partners to ensure learners receive a joined-up support experience.
