Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, is seeking a LGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver in Wembley. You will ensure road worthiness, cleanliness of the vehicle and complete daily pre-use inspection checks.

Delivering about 15–20 gas cylinders daily to customers, you will apply safe handling techniques and may operate a forklift or crane for loading and unloading. The role requires defensive driving knowledge and adherence to driver regulations, with a focus on reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV/LGV Cat C licence must be held.
• ADR (Class 2 in packages) required.
• Driver CPC is required.
• Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• High level of personal integrity.
• LGV entitlement held for minimum 2 years for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle allocated.
• Complete daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and any specialised equipment.
• If necessary, operate special BOC equipment such as a forklift truck or crane for loading and unloading vehicles.
• Applying defensive driving techniques, knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
• Deliver approximately 15-20 gas cylinders per day to customers in the area.
• Use safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver/collect cylinders to/from customers.
• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations.
