Job summary

CES Power is seeking a professional HGV driver to operate Class 1 and/or Class 2 vehicles across the UK. You will conduct daily vehicle checks, ensure safety and compliance, and deliver generators, fuel tanks and power equipment to customer sites nationwide.

You will support loading/unloading, maintain load security, and complete all required documentation with accuracy. Role requires ADR compliance, driver CPC, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR Licence, including tanks and packaged goods where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience.
• Experience delivering plant, power generation equipment or heavy machinery.
• Good understanding of driver hours regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Strong knowledge of load securing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 vehicles in accordance with road transport legislation.
• Conduct daily vehicle defect inspections and complete vehicle checks.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Complete transport documentation accurately.
• Report defects, incidents and accidents.
• Deliver and collect generators, fuel tanks, batteries and other equipment.
• Position generators safely on customer sites using lifting equipment where authorised.
• Assist engineers with loading, unloading and securing.
