Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Activity Coordinator / Healthcare Assistant for the CAMHS adolescent inpatient unit in Bodmin. The role involves planning and delivering engaging activities for young people with mental health needs, within a multidisciplinary team, on a rotational schedule including nights and weekends.

You will work with the CAMHS team, supporting assessments and care planning, and help deliver high-quality mental and physical health care to young people

Qualifications

• Qualification to level 3 or equivalent experience in relevant subject.
• Experience of working with people who have cognitive, physical, learning disability or challenging behaviour.
• Personal practical or creative skills e.g. craft, music, art, cookery.

Responsibilities

• Plan social and meaningful activities for inpatients living with mental health.
• Work rotational shifts including day and night, weekends and bank holidays.
• Support MDT assessment, planning and delivery of care needs for young people in CAMHS.
• Contribute to service developments and evaluation of programmes of care.

Education

Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in relevant subject
