Job summary

ADMK Limited provides cleaning services for Oak Ward at Milton Keynes University Hospital. This Cleaning Assistant role is full-time (37.5 hours) with core hours 07:00–15:00, Monday to Friday, with flexible working considered. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Job description

This Cleaning Assistant post sits on Oak Ward at Milton Keynes University Hospital, where ADMK Limited provides the cleaning service. The work covers floor cleaning, deep and terminal cleans to hospital policy, curtain changes and cleaning of equipment and signage, all to a high standard. It is a full-time role of 37.5 hours, with core hours of 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday, and flexible working will be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What the job involves

• Carry out duties as instructed to the required standard, keeping the hospital clean, safe and welcoming at all times
• Suction clean and dust control sweeping
• Damp and wet mopping
• Deep and periodic cleaning in line with hospital policy and work instructions
• Exit and terminal cleans in line with hospital policy and work instructions
• Changing curtains
• Cleaning cleaning equipment and signage

Qualifications

• General education to GCSE or equivalent

Experience

• Previous cleaning experience

Skills & knowledge

• Good time management and identifying the most pressing tasks in the normal schedule
• Following instructions with minimal day-to-day supervision after initial training
• Flexible approach to the demands of the post
• High level of personal hygiene
• Using a variety of cleaning machinery
• Performing duties with reasonable aids and adaptations
