Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Domestic Assistant for a part-time housekeeping role at St Mary's Community Hospital in Sunderland. The role focuses on cleaning to infection-control standards and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors across inpatient wards.

Shifts run early mornings (06:00–13:00) with 15–25 hours weekly. Interview-based scheduling; sponsorship not offered, right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

Job description

This Domestic Assistant post is a housekeeping role across the inpatient wards of St Mary's Community Hospital, with cover at other sites when needed. The work centres on cleaning to infection-control standards and keeping the whole hospital environment clean, safe and welcoming for patients and visitors. It is part-time, with 15 to 25 hours a week worked on early shifts from 06:00 to 13:00, and working patterns are discussed at interview. Sponsorship is not offered, so candidates must already have the right to work in the UK.
