Job summary

Hugh Baird College in Liverpool is seeking a proactive Activations Assistant on a maternity cover basis. You will support prospective students from initial enquiry through enrolment, coordinating admissions tasks and events to ensure a smooth applicant journey.

Working closely with the Activations Manager and curriculum teams, you will manage applications, respond to enquiries, and help deliver recruitment activities across the College while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, customer-focused environment.
• Experience using computerised systems for data input and retrieval.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for admissions enquiries via telephone, email and other channels.
• Process student applications, interview outcomes and admissions information.
• Support applicants throughout the admissions and enrolment process.
• Assist with organisation and delivery of recruitment, admissions and enrolment events.
• Maintain accurate records and confidential student information.
• Produce basic reports and support UCAS records management.
