South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue is seeking an Administrator Receptionist to manage our reception area, greet visitors, answer the switchboard, and handle mail and photocopier duties with strong communication and organisational skills.
You will support the Information Officer with data in Excel and help publish information on the Service Intranet, requiring a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or Administration and proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
You will be responsible for maintaining our reception area, providing a professional customer service welcome using your excellent communication skills to be the first point of contact for visitors to our building and answering calls to our switchboard, providing assistance and information.
You will be able to manage multiple tasks and organise your working day around immediate customer service priorities. Using your Microsoft Office and administrative skills, you will respond promptly to email requests for information, deal with internal and external mail, and help maintain the building's photocopier facilities.
You will additionally support the Information Officer in creating communications, collect and manage data using Excel spreadsheets and ensure information is published on the Service Intranet.
To be considered for the role, you should have proven customer service experience and excellent communication skills within a reception environment. You should also hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Customer Service and/or Administration, alongside strong organisational and administrative skills and experience of using Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
