Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust, serving Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools, seeks a part-time Office Administrator to run the Laxton and Sadler House office and provide professional admin support and pastoral care.

You will be the primary contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, working within the Pastoral team and reporting to the Housemaster.

Role hours are 25 per week: Wed 12:00-17:00, Thu-Fri 8:30-17:00, Sat 8:30-14:00, with a pro-rata salary of £12,701 per annum (FTE £26,481).

Qualifications

  • Experience providing high-quality administrative support in a school or similar setting.
  • Pastoral support or liaison with students and staff is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Job description

The Role

The purpose of the role is to run the day to day operation of the Laxton and Sadler House office, supporting the Housemasters and Matrons as required, to provide high quality, professional administrative support and pastoral care for the pupils; ensure the pupils achieve and maintain high standards of health care and self-discipline.

The postholder will also act as the primary point of contact within the House, dealing with pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Working within the Pastoral team, the role holder will report to the Housemaster (Hsm) of Laxton.

This role will be part time, 25 hours per week, working set days Wednesday 12:00 - 17:00, Thursday and Friday 8:30 - 17:00 and Saturday 8:30 - 14:00.

Your working weeks will be 35 weeks per annum (Paid for 39.91 weeks to include entitlement to holiday pay)

Your pro-rata salary will be £12,701 per annum (FTE £26,481 per annum)

The School

Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding.
