Job summary

Streets is a modern accountancy practice seeking a capable administrator to support our Stevenage office. The role involves setting up new clients, handling AML checks, producing client correspondence, and generating reports from our accounting software.

You will work closely with Partners and Managers, assist with reception duties, and ensure client information is accurate and processed efficiently. A strong eye for detail and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Solid administrative experience across a variety of tasks, systems, processes, and teams.
  • Ability to deliver tasks on time, confidently and proficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Teams; experience of Xero is desirable.
  • Proven ability to work closely with Partners and Managers, delivering quality administrative output.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and information flow.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to different client requirements.

Responsibilities

Role Overview
We are seeking a strong administrator to support our Stevenage office with a variety of administrative duties, including setting up new clients, processing letters and producing correspondence on behalf of our Partners and Managers. This is a key role, contributing to the efficient delivery of services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up new clients on all systems including with HMRC.
  • Processing anti-money laundering requirements.
  • Creating correspondence to clients.
  • Generate reports from our accounting software.
  • Support with reception, meeting and greeting clients.
  • Speaking with clients over the phone, to ensure they have all the correct information, for processing payments.
Key Skills And Competencies
  • Experience: Solid administrative experience working across a variety of tasks, systems, processes, and teams where working with attention to detail is essential.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to deliver tasks on time, confidently and proficiently.
  • Software Expertise: Proficiency with Microsoft office: Word, Excel and Teams. Experience of Xero is desirable.
  • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work closely with Partners and Managers, delivering quality administrative output.
  • Client Focus: Excellent communication skills, there will be an element of speaking with customers, and ensuring that their work progresses in an efficient and quality manner.
  • Adaptability: ability to multi-task and respond to a variety of tasks and client requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous administration experience (desirable if in accountancy, legal, or professional services)
  • A natural organiser who loves ticking things off the to-do list
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
  • Professional, friendly, and able to handle confidential information with care
