DFDS in Inverness is seeking an Administrator to support the busy transport team with a range of administrative duties. You will handle customer enquiries, perform data entry, and book daily jobs into internal systems while ensuring accurate pricing and timely updates.
The role requires strong MS Office skills, organisational ability, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A friendly, proactive team approach and training on internal systems are provided.

Working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, you’ll support our busy transport team with a wide range of administrative duties. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in keeping the office running smoothly and ensuring information flows accurately between teams and customers.
You will be responsible for:
Handling customer enquiries relating to bookings and deliveries
Completing data entry and maintaining accurate system records
Booking daily jobs into internal systems and ensuring correct pricing
Liaising with the planning team to provide updates on rates and delivery schedules
Supporting the wider transport team with general administration tasks
Responding to emails and phone queries in a timely and professional manner
Helping to keep office processes organised and efficient
You’ll have previous experience working in a busy office environment, with strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence using computer systems. You’ll be organised, detail‑focused, and able to manage multiple tasks at once in a fast‑paced setting.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working as part of a friendly, bubbly team, and are happy to get stuck in from day one. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are key, along with the confidence to interact with customers and colleagues.
